​To educate and train doctors of chiropractic and their staff occupational medicine and health evaluation services, as Licensed Health Care Professionals (LHCP) using the OSHA guidelines and criteria to ensure that company employees are physically qualified to work.
​In all but three states, Washington, Virginia, and New York, Chiropractors can be fmcsa, certified medical examiners and perform DOT physicals on commercial drivers under the FMCSA guidelines. However, in Washington, Virginia and New York Chiropractors can perform drug & alcohol testing, pulmonary function testing, and audiometric testing in order to meet the federal OSHA and NIOSH guidelines. Also, Chiropractic Physicians can perform basic flight physicals for FAA, and other physical examinations such as pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work, as well as fit-for-duty exams in states where Chiropractors are defined as "Physician."
​Yes, drug collection training and certification is required to perform urine drug screens subject to DOT laws. Alcohol testing requires training and a certificate of completion by the manufacture of the breath alcohol device used in your practice. ​Several places and organizations have traditionally trained the medical profession. We recommend you get your drug training certification at the "OccMed for DC's" seminar. The manufacture of the breath alcohol device you purchase can direct you to a trainer certified to perform Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT). However, if you buy a Drager 6820 Alcotest DOT device you can be certified to perform BAT by a "OccMed For DC's" certified trainer. If you attend the seminar training, you will qualify for the "discounted training price." Which is given via webinar.

What we do teach on Day 1 is 8 hours of “All things concerned with DOT.” "We call it, "DOT on Steroids" Topics include physicals, urine drug testing, running a consortium and other diagnostic services including how to “communicate” with employers, companies safety and human resource personnel. We take your DOT business to another level!
​Yes, the reason why? Think of it this way, if you’re a DOT certified medical examiner and you’re on the list, but you don’t offer drug & alcohol testing, would a company send their drivers to you for a DOT physical and then send the driver across town for drug and alcohol screening?

NO! Employers are looking for "one place" an "all-inclusive provider," the more services you can provide the more companies you can contract with because these companies want less hassle saving them time and money by paying less in "per diem."
​You will learn how to incorporate Occupational Medicine into your practice at the Occ Med for DC's training. In most offices, OccMed services can be performed in a small amount of space, rarely do we find an office space to small to perform the services we recommend. Some companies prefer you to see their employees at their facility, In this case, NO office space is required!
1. ​The first thing Dr. Raker teaches at the "OccMed For DC's" seminar is how to analyze your potential earning capacity before buying a ton of equipment all at once. On Day 2 of the seminar you will learn how to take"one step at a time." 1st step, getting certified and trained to perform these services. 2nd step, is purchasing equipment you need to perform the occupational service. Dr. Hebert will teach you how to market to the companies require these services. Once you flip the switch on, you will need to be proficient in the services you are providing.

Most of the equipment you need to purchase such as Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Respirator Fit Testing and Audiometric Testing are less than $2,000 each or you can find them used on eBay, craigslist, etc. We teach you the do's and don't of buying used occupational equipment, and why yearly calibration is necessary when performing these services. Also, in many cases as a member of "OccMed for DC's," you can purchase the necessary equipment through us at a much reduced price point and get a substantial discount on certification of the equipment you have purchased. ​You can take online courses, but we recommend hands-on training with our “Fast Track” residency program. There are 16 and 24-hour training sessions performed here at our facility in Texarkana, Arkansas. Also, as a member, you will have access to many online courses, "POD casts," weekly "Lunch and Learn" and "Youtube" training.
Yes! You will receive 16 Continuing Education hours for attending the two day OccMed for DC's seminar. We will turn in your hours of attendance to your state board of examiners, as well as issue you a "certificate of completion." Contact Wayne Hebert, DC to learn more about the seminar.
Call us and let us find a way to get the minimum number of doctors needed at the seminar so that we can come to your state. Many of our inquiries are from the "Chiropractic Trade Associations" ACA, TCA, ACPA to teach at their conventions. Please feel free to mention our teaching services to them!
